Our Family

Sam and Kristin Meek think of themselves as the stewards of Turtle Dove Farm. When they first “met” the property, a former commercial winery,  they knew instantly that this is where they wanted to raise their children and create memories with friends, family, and clients.

Kristin founded WYLD Leadership, a learning and development organization that designs customized retreats, workshops, and coaching for companies and individuals worldwide. The Abbey naturally reflects her personal and professional mission by providing a place for people to intentionally celebrate the idea that “life is good” and we are here to learn how to create more good.

Sam founded Sandboxx, a military media and platform company based in Arlington, VA.. Their mission is to build content and technology to simplify the military journey. If you know Sam he is surely to offer his help to you in some way - he loves ideas, the great outdoors, and fixing things. His two favorite things to talk about are his children and airplanes.

Both Sam and Kristin have a twinkle in their eyes when describing their hopes for The Abbey – to prompt joy, invite reflection, and connect to the authenticity in self and other.
